In 1979, writer David Greenberger started compiling interviews, anecdotes, and conversations he had with the residents of the Duplex Nursing Home. This material was compiled in a magazine called The Duplex Planet. 14 years later, he asked some of the most prominent artists in underground comics to illustrate the most memorable stories. The result was Duplex Planet Illustrated, a 15-issue series that ran from 1993-1996.
